In high quality helianthus production adequate boron supply plays an important role. Boron regulates the metastasis of carbohydrates and the perfect fruit binding. Lack of it the crop may decrease, the plates will be deformed and most of the achenes will be irregular.
Besides boron supply we have to care about nitrogen and magnesium supply too during vegetation. Nitrogen helps with vegetative developing; magnesium has an effect on the quantity of the crop with being a vital nourishing element of oil plants.
